Over the years, Kolenchery has evolved as an excellent location to establish a lucrative recreation business The River Park is located twenty-eight kilometers away from Kochi Metropolitan town and eight kilometers near to Muvattupuzha Municipal town. The Park faces the National highway as well as Muvattupuzha river. It has dual access points, providing ample parking space at both ends. The main Entry gate of the park is located at NH 85 and the other gate is located at Pervumuzhy Ooramana Road (Bus route Road with two-way busy traffic) providing direct entry through Panchayat Boat Ferry at the other side.
The park is primarily intended to serve as a recreational hub for the people of Kerala, that of other states and international tourists at large, by ensuring quality services at reasonable cost. Secondly, given the fact that the river park General Entry fee (Rupees 100) is very affordable to all classes of society .it may serve as a Community Park (Public Park) for the domestic visitors to spend their weekend holidays. Family/ Friends. /Couples chill out area, recurring weekly visitors. The competitive advantage of the park is its ideal location and multiple recreational facilities being offered under one umbrella, appealing to all age groups. Incidentally, the park is located at a hub wherein Idukki, Chaalakudy and Kottayam Parliament constituency merges together.
